CNA Classes

CNA Classes in New Jersey

Training courses for your New Jersey CNA license and certificate require you to take at least ninety hours, and not a minute less. This coursework is divided into two parts, including lecturing and in actual clinical practice. The practice portion must be at least forty hours and under the direction and watch of an RN to count. Classes in the training portion will be in areas such as basic nursing, patient care, and other patient centered treatment training. There must also be an equipment portion as well.

Course work completion in New Jersey then leads to the need for passage of a CNA exam. This exam is state specific and meets all federal regulations. There is a written portion to the exam and a skills assessment. The test may be completed three times at a max. If it is not passed on the third try, training must be taken from the beginning. Once obtained, the license must be renewed every two years to remain active.

The cost of completion varies. If you are going through an employer, then, it may be free if they are willing to pay. If not, you are at the mercy of the prices set by your institution of instruction.
