CNA Classes in Ohio

Before becoming a CNA in Ohio, a student will have to pass a seventy-five hour accredited CNA training program. Of this seventy-five hours, sixteen of them will have to be devoted to clinical training outside of the classroom and under the direction of a qualified nurse. The training program cost varies based upon the cost of the program and what price the institution has set. Once completed, then, an individual must take the CNA exam and pass it to be registered as a CNA in Ohio.

The CNA exam that is required to be passed in Ohio for licensing involves two parts, as with many other states. There is a written portion to be completed and also a simulation in a clinical setting. The test must be offered by an accredited testing center and both parts must be passed before an individual will be considered licensed in the state. T

hey must also pass a background check at the national and state level and any complaint of patient neglect or abuse will be grounds for failing of the certification exam.
