CNA Classes in Oklahoma

Like other states, those students in Oklahoma that want to become a CNA will need to take an accredited CNA program. This program must last at a minimum seventy hours and include coursework in long term care, home health aide, residential care aide, and working with those with disabilities, among others. The program hours will be spent doing work outside the classroom setting doing hands-on practice and hours in lecture as well. The cost of this program will vary based on the fees set by the provider institution but can be as low as four-hundred dollars. A student must pass this training before they are able to take the CNA test in that state and become licensed.

The CNA test in Oklahoma must be passed in order to become a CNA that is registered and recognized in the state. It also required to be renewed every two years by those who wish to keep an active license. The test will include a written portion which must be passed in order to move onto the skills assessment portion of the exam.  Once both portions are completed successfully, a background check will be completed and must be passed to be a registered Oklahoma CNA.
